I've been losing my mind watching western media and governments ignore, spread propaganda and worst of all: sponsor the genocide of Palestinians the last eight months; I can't even fathom what it must be like to live in Gaza or the West Bank. I am ashamed to admit I was ignorant to a lot of the world's atrocities until October 2023. Since then,  I've learned so much about Palestine and the apartheid settler-colony that is "Israel". The myth that Israel is essential to Jewish safety is so embedded in western culture that for 76 years the world has continued to turn a blind eye to (or finance) so many horrors inflicted by Israeli settlers on the Palestinian people. I've lost track of the amount of burnt and/or dismembered bodies I've seen from bombs my taxes pay for. I cannot understand how people are not radicalized by all this barbarity. 

I've been contributing to people in Gaza's GoFundMe campaigns when I can and I want to include some donation links here, please contribute if you are able. Even a little goes a long way towards food and hopefully, eventually, safe passage to Egypt.

This lookbook is inspired by Palestinian people. I tried to include both traditional attire with the closest thing I could find to Palestinian thobes with tatreez embroidery, along with turbans and hijabs, as well as those who dress more modern/not hijabi. I also tried to include as many keffiyehs as I could, and obviously, some watermelons. 🍉 I would have rather used a more pleasant background, but thought an image of the destruction of Khan Yunis would be more impactful. 💔

Anyway, free Palestine until it's backwards and viva la resistance!

Aya is at the half way point of her goal she just needs $5,000 more dollars!

Lana is trying to get her family out of Gaza and she's close to her goal. She's sitting at 43,969/50,000 she's so close to her goal lets get her to her goal soon!

Alaa is trying get her family out as well, she's halfway towards her goal as well she stands at $42,910/$60,000.

Since my original post about Mohamed's fundraiser isn't getting notes anymore, I'm reposting this as donations have completely stopped and Mohamed urged in his most recent update to spread his campaign everywhere

Mohamed Abdul Hamid is a Palestinian currently living with his family in the Gaza Strip. He created a fundraiser on March 11th, 2024, intending to raise $40k to flee (NOTE: The goal is listed as €25k, but the description states that $40k is needed for a family of 8 to flee to Egypt)

As of writing, €7,702 has been raised. While any amount helps, it's frustrating to see fundraisers like this one earn much less money than the one for AO3, which had a bigger goal that was reached and even surpassed in a much shorter time

Even if you can only donate the equivalent of €5 and think it's meaningless, it isn't for people in need. And if you aren't in a position to donate for any reason, remember that sharing really does help and can go a long way. So please, reblog this post if you won't be donating. Alternatively, share it on Twitter if you have an account, since posts there tend to get more attention

social media must become singularly focused on stopping the palestinian genocide.

People who menstruate in Gaza don't have access to pads, tampons, clean water etc.

This isn't a "women's" issue, this is a humanitarian issue that the US government is actively funding.

According to uscpr.org, at least $3.8 MILLION dollars are going to Israel to fund the genocide against the Palestinians.

IF YOU DON'T THINK THAT THIS IS AN ISSUE, YOUR WRONG!!

And by staying silent, we are furthering the harm Israel does to millions of innocent Palestinians.

well known Sims YouTuber, Kayla Sims (lilsimsie), did a four hour charity stream yesterday and raised $52,000 for the Palestine Children's Relief Fund which is an amazing amount of money that will hopefully support as many children as possible

I have been very vocal about the Genocide happening in Gaza on my main/personal accounts, but I haven't posted much about it on my sim accounts. So as a way to not only share my support for Palestine, but also to bring awareness into the sims community, here's a Palestinian flag for your game.
